Delivering happiness to seriously ill kids and their families.

Starlight Children's Foundation was created in 1982 by filmmaker Peter Samuelson and his cousin Emma Samms by sending a seriously ill child to Disneyland with his family. Since then, the organization has been granting wishes to seriously ill children and in 2020 they launched Commitment for Change inititative to their effort in diversity, equity and inclusion. They operate on six core values: service, teamwork, accountablility, respect, integrity, and excellent & innovation.

Now, they deliver happiness to thousands of hospitalized kids at more than 800 children’s hospitals and health care facilities in the U.S., with their fun, state-of-the-art programs like Starlight Virtual Reality, Starlight Hospital Wear, and Starlight Gaming. 

We are proud to report that Starlight has brought smiles to more than 16 million seriously ill children and their families in the U.S. - at no cost to the kids or their hospital partners.
